Alessandro Ienzi Bio


Alessandro Ienzi is a Lawyer at Palermo Bar Association, he was born in 1987 in Palermo,Italy, he is author, director and actor, and human rights activist.
After obtaining the Classical Baccalaureate at the C.E.I. of Palermo, he obtained the Master's Degree in Law at the University of Palermo with the vote of 110/110 and honors, discussing the thesis "The Member States compensation for the violation of the European Union law." In 2011 he participated in the Master in International Relations and International Protection of Human Rights, at SIOI in Rome; in the same year he attended the WFUNA Program at the UN in Geneva, Palais des Nations.
In 2017 he graduated as an Actor and Director at the Teatro Biondo in Palermo. From 2015 to 2017 he performed as an actor in some of the main Italian and European theaters. He also has took part to two edition of the Spoleto Festival and of the Naples Festival.
In 2019 he attended the course "Public Diplomacy in a Multipolar World", held by UNITAR.
In 2020 he is selected by the Global Campus of Human Rights in Venice for the Masterclass in “Cinema, Human Rights and Advocacy”.
In the same year he won “The International Human Rights Art Festival in New York”, recognition for the international artist who stands out for his promotion of rights in the world.
He is the founder and the director of Raizes Teatro, theatre company for human rights. Raizes equipe is made of 10 members among actors, musicians, photographers and designers.
Raizes theater works have been already staged in Brussels, promoted by the European Parliament on the occasion of the Thirtieth anniversary of the anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Raizes is Considered a Good Practice in the field of Cultural Diplomacy by UNITAR. Raizes new international program is Human Freedom 2021, a year long human rights program, directed by Ienzi, organized with the International Human Rights Art Festival in NY, Global Campus of Human Rights in Venice, Avant Garde lawyers in Paris.
Furthermore Some members of the Columbia University, took part to some of the event supporting climate justice.
Ienzi is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
